Location: The Hill, St. Louis

Sado Sushi Restaurant and Bar, located in The Hill neighborhood of St. Louis, is now recognized as one of the top 10 new restaurants in the nation. This project involved transforming an iconic, historic building that previously housed Dominic’s into a modern, high-functioning culinary space.

Our scope included comprehensive HVAC and refrigeration systems, as well as custom installations to meet the restaurant’s unique requirements.


Key Deliverables

Kitchen Systems

  • Exhaust and Ventilation:
    • Supplied and installed a 24-foot stainless steel exhaust hood with a tempered, heated make-up air system and fans.
    • Fabricated and welded all grease ducts, ensuring compliance with fire wrap and code requirements.
  • Stainless Steel Panels:
    • Fabricated and installed over 100 linear feet of stainless steel panels, extending floor-to-ceiling within the kitchen area.

Gas and Utility Connections

  • Installed high-pressure black iron gas piping from the utility meter to the rooftop HVAC equipment and all kitchen cooking appliances.

HVAC Systems

  • Supplied and installed packaged gas heating and cooling rooftop units, complete with ductwork to serve the dining room, bar, and kitchen spaces.
  • Performed equipment startup and airflow testing and balancing to ensure proper ventilation and climate control throughout the building.

Refrigeration Systems

  • Installed refrigeration equipment for walk-in coolers and freezers, including refrigeration piping.
  • Conducted equipment startup to ensure optimal performance and compliance with specifications.
